Wood-Grain Flask — Ceramic Lined

A tall screw-top flask finished in a dark, figured wood grain and banded in mirror chrome at the collar and the foot. Twist the cap off and the inside is not steel but a terracotta ceramic liner — which is the reason tea drinkers buy this shape, since fired clay does not hold on to the taste of what was in it yesterday. Photographed closed, and open with the lid beside it.
